Yesterday, the Foundation for Broadcast Culture (FBC), the biggest stockholder in MBC, named as new MBC president Kim Jae-chul, a close friend of President Lee Myung-bak. A former presidential previously took over KBS, and with this selection, a friend of the president is now taking over MBC. It has become even more clear that the FBC is the main criminal threatening the independence and public nature of MBC.
문화방송마저 정권에 갖다바칠 순 없다
<문화방송>의 최대주주인 방송문화진흥회(방문진)가 어제 새 사장으로 이명박 대통령과 친분이 깊은 김재철 청주문화방송 사장을 뽑았다. <한국방송> 사장에 대통령 참모가 들어서더니 문화방송까지 대통령 측근이 장악하게 생겼다. 이로써 방문진은 문화방송의 독립성과 공공성을 위협하는, 정권 하수인임이 분명해졌다.
