President Lee Myung-bak recently said there had not been adequate communication between himself and the public and that the change would begin with him. His first exercise in communication, however, came while he was off in China when the Minister of Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries went ahead with the announcement that American beef imports will begin again. Maybe that's what he always meant by communication. You wonder how this could happen as soon as he spoke about it.
이 대통령이 직접 국민 앞에 나서라
이명박 대통령은 얼마 전 국민과의 소통이 부족했다고, 이젠 자신부터 변하겠다고 말했다. 그런데 ‘소통’의 첫 작품이, 자신은 중국에 가 있는 사이 농림수산식품부 장관을 내세워 장관 고시를 강행한 것이었다. 이 대통령이 말한 ‘소통’이란 게 원래 그런 것인지 모르겠다. 속된 말로 입술에 침이 마르기도 전에 어찌 이럴 수 있나 하는 생각마저 든다.
