The true intentions behind President Lee Myung-bak’s “business-friendly” policies are being revealed. There are complaints that the new administration is pursuing policies favorable to large conglomerates, such as the abolition of the equity investment ceiling, but is ignoring policies aimed at protecting small and medium enterprises, or SMEs. The current direction of the new administration’s policies is not only based on a misperception about the current economic situation, but is hindering economic recovery.
‘대기업 프렌들리’론 경제 못 살린다'
이명박 정부의 ‘친기업’(비즈니스 프렌들리) 정책이 그 실체를 드러내고 있다. 대기업에 유리한 출자총액 제한제 폐지 등은 서둘러 추진하면서, 중소기업을 보호하기 위한 하도급 거래 감시 정책 등은 외면한다는 불만이 나오고 있다. 새 정부의 이런 정책 방향은 현 경제 상황에 대한 잘못된 판단을 근거로 하고 있을 뿐 아니라 경제 살리기에도 별 도움이 되지 못한다.
