Grand National Party presidential candidate Lee Myung-bak is saying and doing entirely different things when it comes to the extradition of Kim Kyung-jun, considered to be the key to the BBK stock price manipulation case. When Kim filed papers with an American court on October 1 asking to be sent to Korea, a close aide and proxy to Lee, one Kim Baek-jun, filed papers with American federal courts on October 9 and 12 asking that his extradition be postponed and for the right to intervene in his trial. Meanwhile, on October 11, Lee said that Kim Kyung-jun “quickly needs to return to Korea and be tried.” Lee’s words and the actions of his close aide contradict one another.

비비케이(BBK) 주가조작 사건의 핵심 인물인 김경준씨 송환 문제를 놓고 이명박 한나라당 대통령 후보 쪽이 하는 말과 행동은 판이하게 다르다. 지난 1일 김씨가 미국 법원에 한국 송환을 요청하자, 이 후보의 대리인이자 최측근인 김백준 전 서울메트로 감사가 9일과 12일 미국 연방 제9순회법원에 송환 연기신청과 재판 개입신청을 각각 냈다. 이 즈음인 11일, 이 후보는 “(김경준씨는) 빨리 한국에 들어와 재판을 받아야 한다”고 말했다. 측근의 행동과 정반대로 말한 것이다.
