Concerns over fire safety management in the region's similar public facilities are rising among Jeju residents since the tragic fire in the Yeosu Immigration Office. The number of the region's group accommodation facilities including a protection facility for illegal immigrants in the Jeju immigration office and other related facilities, rehabilitation facilities for the handicapped, postpartum care centers, general hospitals, and correction facilities reaches 57. According to the National Emergency Management Jeju Office, the result of fire safety inspection into the public facilities was relatively good. Only 5 facilities including 2 hospitals, 1 nursing home and 2 correction facilities were ordered to take corrective measures against 25 unsafe matters.
도내 집단 수용시설 소방관리 양호
최근 여수출입국관리사무소 화재사고 이후 도내 유사 시설의 소방 안전안전관리 실태에 대해 궁금증을 나타내는 도민들이 많다. 도내 집단 수용시설도 제주출입국관리사무소의 불법체류자 등 관련 시설과 장애인 재활시설 및 산후조리원, 종합병원, 교정시설 등 모두 57개소에 이르고 있다. 13일 제주도소방방재본부에 따르면 지난해 이들 전체 집단 수용시설에 대한 소방안전 점검 결과 비교적 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 다만, 병원 2개소와 요양소 1개소 및 교정시설 등 5개 시설에서 모두 25건의 불량 사항이 지적돼 대부분 시정.보완 조치된 것으로 밝혀졌다.
