A large demonstrator group along with the riot police and high-level officials will visit Jeju concerning the fourth round of the South Korea-U.S. free trade agreement(FTA) held on Oct 23 in Jeju and their visits are expected to contribute to revitalizing the regional economy. Local lodging and food industry is hoping that they enjoy swelling demand from visitors because they will stay for four or five days in Jeju.
대규모 시위대ㆍ경비경찰ㆍ수행원 대거 입도 예정
오는 23일부터 제주에서 열리는 한.미 FTA 4차 협상과 관련, 이의 개최를 극력 반대하는 전국 단위의 대규모 시위대와 이를 저지하려는 경찰병력 및 회담과 관련된 수행인원들이 대거 제주에 옴으로서 지역경제 활성화에 반짝 특수가 일 것으로 보인다. 이처럼 4∼5일간 일시에 많은 인파가 제주에 체류함으로서 협상 결과에 관계없이 도내 숙박 및 위생식품 업계가 예상 외의 반짝 '특수'를 누릴 것으로 전망된다.
