Beneficial insects are imported and distributed to farm families to promote pro-environment agriculture using a natural enemy. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry decided to import two useful insects(Amblyseius swirskii, Hypoaspis aculeifer) as of Oct 9. The ministry’s measure is expected to contribute to producing safe food and promoting pro-environment agriculture and export to Japan.
농림부, 익충 2종 수입
농약대신 천적을 사용, 친환경농업을 촉진시킬 수 있는 익충(益蟲) 2종이 수입돼 농가에 보급된다. 농림부는 9일자로 농업용 천적 ‘지중해이리응애(Amblyseius swirskii)’와 ‘가는뿔다리좀응애(Hypoaspis aculeifer)’ 2종을 수입허용했다.
농림부의 이번 농업용 천적 수입 허용조치는 친환경농업 촉진과 안전한 먹거리 생산 및 대일본 수출확대에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대되고 있다.
