Special investigation revealed that Seogwipo City had given loose administration committing a mass of illegal activities and wrongdoings before and after May 31 local elections. After finding the fact that some incumbent public officials and their families had gone on a trip abroad with private contractors, Jejudo took stern action against them. It said those officials, in fact, had not violated the local public officials laws, but they deserve punishment and severe criticism due to their lack of morality.
서귀포시 '방만행정' 사실로
서귀포시가 5?1지방선거를 전후해 방만한 행정을 전개해 오다 제주도 특별감사에서 위법겫灌聆?행정행위가 무더기로 적발됐다. 제주도는 27일 서귀포시에 대한 특별감사를 벌인 결과 현직 과장이 공무원 가족 등과 함께 업자를 동행 해외여행을 다녀온 사실을 적발, 해당 공무원을 엄중 경고 조치했다고 밝혔다.
제주도는 해당 공무원이 지방공무원법을 위반한 사실은 없으나 도덕성 결여와 사회적으로 지탄받는 행위에 해당돼 이 같은 조치를 취했다고 밝혔다.
