Jeju Election Commission said that it will receive registrations for preliminary candidates running for the new governors starting on January 31. Any preliminary candidate can establish a campaign office and station 5 and less election officials from the point of registration. In addition, he or she is able to wage campaigns such as distributing name cards, mailing printed materials and sending e-mails. In order to register as a preliminary candidate, he or she needs to designate an official in charge of accounting and open a bank account for an election campaign fund which are to be reported to Jeju Election Commission. After reporting, the candidate can use the fund for campaigns. The registration for provincial assembly members will start on March 19.
제주도지사 예비후보 선관위, 31일부터 접수
제주도선거관리위원회는 제4회 전국동시지방선거와 관련, 도지사 선거 예비후보자 등록접수를 오는 31일부터 시작한다고 26일 밝혔다.
선관위에 도지사선거 예비후보로 등록할 경우 등록시점부터 예비후보는 선거사무소를 설치할 수 있고, 5인 이내의 선거관계자를 둘 수 있게 된다.
또 선거운동 내용이 게재된 명함배부와 선거홍보물 발송, 전자우편 발송 등 선거운동도 할 수 있게 된다.
도지사 선거 예비후보자 등록에는 선거운동이 가능한 회계책임자 1명을 선정, 신고해야 하며 이때부터 예비후보자는 정치자금 수입 및 지출을 위한 예금계좌를 개설 신고한 뒤 정치자금을 지출할 수 있게 된다.
한편 도의원 선거 예비후보자 등록은 오는 3월 19일부터 시작된다.
