The 12th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Finance Minister’s Meeting commenced at the Jeju Shilla Hotel on the 5th of September and is scheduled to continue for 5 days.
Ahead of the APEC Annual Summit Meeting to be held in Busan, the meeting features working-level-talks, finance leaders from 21 member economies as well as 600 APEC representatives from the international financial world participating in the meeting. Major agendas of the meeting will focus on issues concerning free and secure capital mobility and preparation for aging economies.
According to the main schedule, the APEC Finance and Central Bank Deputies’ Meeting will be held on the 6th and 7th, followed by APEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting on the 8th and 9th. Given the presence of the APEC meeting in Jeju, Jeju has a plan to actively promote itself as a Free International City.
제12차 APEC 재무장관회의 개막
제12차 APEC 재무장관회의가 5일부터 닷새간의 일정으로 제주신라호텔에서 막을 올렸다.
부산에서 개최 예정인 APEC 정상회의에 앞서 실무협의 성격을 띤 이번 회의는 21개국 APEC 회원국 재무장관 및 국제금융계 인사 600여명이 회의 기간동안 참석한 예정으로 ‘자유롭고 안정적인 자본이동’과 ‘고령화 사회 대비’등을 주요 의제로 다루게 된다.
주요 일정을 보면 6.7일 APEC 재무ㆍ중앙은행 총재회의를 비롯해 8?일 APEC 재무장관회의 등으로 제주도는 이번 회의를 통해 적극적인 국제자유도시 홍보활동을 펼치기로 했다.
