Bukgun Operate Mobile Laundry Center

The Bukjeju County health center plans to operate ‘mobile laundry center’ in order to help old people and severely disabled people living in islands, who have already been benefited from its mobile bath service. The number of beneficiaries for this laundry service will be 45 - 13 with disabilities, 6 with chronic diseases, and 26 with old ages - who are all now living in Chujado and Udo.
Preparing for this service, the center purchased washing machines and recruited 26 volunteers. Once a week, 4 volunteers will circulate towns collecting the wash and delivering the dried wash.

북군보건소, 이동빨래방 운영

북제주군보건소는 도서지역 노인과 중증장애인 등을 위해 이동 목욕서비스 외에 ‘이동 빨래방’을 운영한다.
이번에 도서지역 이동빨래방 수혜대상자는 추자와 우도면에 거주하는 장애인 13명과 장기질환자 6명, 노인 26명 등 총 45명이다.
이를 위해 보건소는 보건지소에 세탁기를 구입하는 등 세탁실을 조성하고 방문보건담당자 외에 26명의 자원봉사자를 모집했다.
자원봉사자들은 앞으로 4명이 주1회 마을별로 순회하면서 세탁물을 수거하고 세탁된 빨래를 다시 각 가정으로 배달하게 된다.
