Nursery Support Increase Substantially

Jeju city substantially raised the budget for nursery support. Jeju city said that this year childcare subsidy budget increased to 9.411 billion won from 6.923 billion won last year, up by 36.4 percent. Under the plan, the scope of benefactors seems to be expanded significantly. The number of children who get nursery support as of March 11 is 5,919, amounting to 55.3 percent of all nursery schoolchildren of 10,700. This rate is higher than 46percent of the first half of the last year by 9.3 percent. Jeju city predicts the total number of children who get subsidy will account for 70percent at the end of this year since it will select recipients every month.

 
보육예산 대폭 증가

제주시 보육료 지원예산이 대폭 늘어났다. 제주시에 따르면 올해 어린이집에 다니는 영유아를 대상으로 한 보육료 예산은 94억1100만원으로 전년 69억2300만원에 비해 36.4%가 증액됐다. 이에 따라 보육료 지원대상도 크게 늘어날 것으로 보인다. 3월 현재 보육료 지원대상자는 5919명으로 시 전체 어린이집 취학 아동 1만700명의 55.3%에 달하고 있다. 이 같은 비율은 전년 상반기 46%보다도 9.3%포인트나 상승한 것이다. 보육료 대상자는 매월 선정하고 있어 연말에 가면 보육료 혜택을 받은 아동이 전체의 70%대에 이를 것으로 시는 내다보고 있다.
