Bluberries New Hopee for Closed Orange Farms

A subtropical plant, a blueberry which belongs to the cherry species has drawn special attention as a possible substitute plant for closed orange farms.   
The National Institute of Subtropical Agriculture completed an experiment on the regional adjustment of blueberries and are now carrying out a field test in Hallim, Jeju-do, run by the Bukjejugun Agricultural and Technical Center.  
On the 27th of October an education program was implemented in the meeting room of a library in Hangyoung-myun under the headings “Blueberry Industry Conditions and Tourism Products’ and “Blueberry Cultivation Techniques and Outlook.”  This program was provided to help farmers select farming products on their own as well as help supply substitute crops for closed orange farms, [0]farms for which farmers hope to switch to cultivating blueberries. 

'블루베리'새 소득작물로 각광

앵두과에 속하는 아열대 식물 블루베리가 감귤폐원지 새로운 소득작물로 주목받고 있다.
북제주군농업기술센터는 최근 난지농업연구소 지역적응 실험을 완료한 블루베리의 지역적응 시험을 위해 한림읍 종합시험포장 300평에 실증시험에 들어갔다.
또한 지난 27에 한경면도서관 회의실에서 감귤원 폐원지를 중심으로 대체작물 보급은 물론 농업인 스스로 새로운 작목선택에 도움을 주기 위해 블루베리 재배희망농업인들을 대상으로 ‘블루베리 산업현황과 관광산업’ ‘블루베리 재배기술 및 전망’에 대한 교육을 실시했다.
